“It is not enough to weep for our lost landscapes; we have to put our hands in the earth to make ourselves whole again. Even a wounded world is feeding us. Even a wounded world holds us, giving us moments of wonder and joy. I choose joy over despair. Not because I have my head in the sand, but because joy is what the earth gives me daily and I must return the gift.”

Part of accepting yourself completely is reframing your mind to make it about you, so that “will they like me?” turns into “will I like them?” and “did they like what I said?” turns into “did I say everything I wanted to say?” Everything you do should ultimately be brought on by what you think is important and by what you want. Not by what you think will be most accepted or most liked.

I think a lot of what pro-AI people are really wanting is stuff that already exists but they don’t know it’s out there like

can’t format a work email? templates

don’t know how to write a resume? templates

writing a thank you card or a condolences card or a wedding invitation? templates templates templates

not sure how to format your citations in MLA or whatever format? citationmachine.net

summary of something you’re reading for school/work? cliffnotes.com

recipe based on ingredients in your fridge? whatsintherefrigerator.com

there’s a million more like, guys, we don’t need AI, we never needed generative AI

Bringing this back because I need people to remember that your fear votes are product of a Democratic strategy and has been for years now.

It’s manipulative and dangerous. Not demanding more from Democrats literally makes Trump possible. Not the opposite.

You have to demand that Democratic candidates fight against fascism and shore up the hulls against it. It has to be clear that supporting police brutality, genocide, and putting kids in cages means they cannot get your vote. You have to make fascism unprofitable for politicians. Blue fascism only builds up red fascism so they can be the nicer looking fascists.

Wake up! There is no such thing as a politician that doesn’t need to be pressured or kept in high expectations. “At least I’m not Trump” is not a campaign promise.

Take your power back! Don’t just say “they’re our only option”. Make the politicians consider their options and what they must do to appease us. This is what it means to be a voter. This is your duty.

That’s not how electoral politics works at all. Be mad at gerry mandering than eligible voters being critical of a candidate. You can still be merely critical without being blamed for another trump presidency any insinuation that we can’t be is coming from a cultish mindset.

I wonder if there’s a recent election democrats base such beliefs on… Hmmm… Maybe 2016?

Well, would you look at all those numbers!

There’s several systemic causes at work, so many I will certainly miss several: A big chunk of the 28.6% of otherwise eligible voters are intelligible to vote because of fellony drug possession charges, something that has skyrocketed under the Biden spearheaded ‘94 crime bill.

29.9% of eligible voters didn’t vote for a number of reasons: some could not get off of work, some couldn’t get their voter registration completed, and some simply didn’t feel represented by major candidates. There’s so many reasons people didn’t vote that are absolutely valid. It’s not just laziness like liberals say it is.

2.2% of voters didn’t feel represented by major candidates and had the cajones to vote 3rd party or independent. Democrats *still* won the popular vote by 0.3%. Yet somehow it’s my fault for voting green. Weird how that didn’t make a Trump second term in 2020 too if me voting 3rd party really the cause of all electoral ills.

It’s called dark oxygen because it’s produced without any light fueled chemical reactions such as photosynthesis - instead, it’s produced by water electrolysis, an oxidation/reduction reaction occurring due to metallic nodules with differing electrostatic potentials on the sea floor. In essence, a natural electric current is splitting seawater into hydrogen and oxygen.

It’s not called dark oxygen because it’s made of dark matter or anything like that, if anyone was wondering.
